150 Nigerian Migrants Return from Niger Republic

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received 150 Nigerians repatriated from Agadez, Niger Republic, under the Assisted Voluntary Return programme supported by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

The returnees landed at Aminu Kano International Airport on Thursday and were profiled by immigration officials before being moved to temporary accommodation in Kano.

According to NEMA, the group comprised 88 men, 32 women, and 30 children. They were provided with food, medical care, and logistics support to aid reintegration.

The agency said the operation reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring the safe and dignified return of citizens stranded abroad.
