2027 Elections: PDP Warns Members Against Supporting APC, Labels Actions as Anti-Party

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a strong warning to its members, asking them to stop publicly supporting President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid or risk being punished.

In a statement on Friday, the party’s leadership expressed concern over what it called repeated cases of some members openly backing the ruling APC and its plans for 2027. The PDP said such actions go against the party’s rules and could destabilise its efforts to rebuild and stay united.

The party reminded members that publicly promoting another party or its candidate is considered anti-party behaviour and is punishable under its constitution.

“These actions are harmful to the PDP’s unity and future,” the party said, adding that it would not hesitate to discipline those found guilty.
