Air Peace has repatriated 78 Nigerian women trafficked to Côte d’Ivoire under false promises of employment, flying them back to Lagos at no cost on Saturday.

The initiative, carried out using a Boeing 737, was fully funded and executed by the airline, landing in Abidjan and returning the same day with the victims.

Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema, who received the returnees, assured them of government support and urged them not to see themselves as failures. “You are human beings like any other person… We can have a president or a governor among you,” he said.

He added that the women would receive full medical care at Duchess Hospital, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to restoring their dignity.
