Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has become the first Nigerian female artist to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube, marking a major milestone in her career.
Her hit song “Rush”, which alone has over 450 million views, played a significant role in reaching the landmark. The track also earned her a UK platinum certification and became the first solo song by a Nigerian female artist to enter the UK Official Top 100.
Ayra Starr now joins Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido as the only Nigerian artists to achieve the feat.
