Tems Wins Diamond Award at Billboard Global Power Players Event

Nigerian singer Tems has received the Diamond Award at Billboard’s inaugural Global Power Players event held in London.

The award recognises her growing global influence and the rising reach of African music. During her speech, Tems acknowledged Billboard’s support, saying:

“This is a huge honour. Billboard has supported not just African music, but the entire culture.”

She noted that African music is reaching unprecedented heights, with Billboard playing a key role in its global rise.

Tems was honoured alongside music icons like Elton John and EMPIRE’s Ghazi Shami at the industry event, which also launched Billboard’s first UK Power Players chart.
