In a move aimed at boosting commerce and easing traffic in Lagos’ Badagry axis, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is set to inaugurate three newly completed roads today.
The roads, Aradagun-Mosafejo-Ilado-Imeke, Samuel Ekundayo, and Hospital Road, stretch across Badagry Local Government and Olorunda LCDA. They are part of the state’s broader infrastructure development strategy under the Traffic Management and Transportation arm of the THEMES Plus agenda.
According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, the road projects are designed to improve connectivity between remote communities and the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, which remains a major commercial corridor.
The unveiling comes as part of a broader push by the Sanwo-Olu administration, which has delivered 39 roads and five bridges in recent months. The government says its focus remains on unlocking development through strategic infrastructure that supports both residents and businesses.
“These roads will not only ease movement but also encourage tourism, trade, and investment in these growing communities,” Omotoso noted.
