The national body representing resident physicians has issued a thirty-day final warning to the federal administration, demanding the resolution of multiple outstanding claims. The association declared that its members would cease providing extended on-call services from the start of next month if their requirements remain unaddressed.

The collective outlined several unresolved matters, including unpaid salary arrears from previous promotions and a reviewed compensation structure. The doctors are also insisting on the immediate correction of their specialist allowance payments and the settlement of outstanding uniform stipends.

Further grievances involve the reinstatement of several dismissed colleagues at a federal teaching hospital and a formal cessation of what they term the casual employment of medical graduates. The association has additionally demanded a policy ensuring the immediate replacement of doctors who leave their positions to alleviate excessive workloads.

This new deadline was established during the association’s recent annual general meeting, where new national officers were also appointed. The group has instructed its members to discontinue work shifts extending beyond twenty-four consecutive hours beginning October 1st.
