Nigeria’s senior men’s football team has confirmed its final roster for two decisive encounters in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification series. Head coach Eric Chelle has selected a 23-player squad for the upcoming fixtures against Lesotho and the Benin Republic .
The squad features a blend of established internationals and returning players. Team captain William Troost-Ekong is included alongside star striker Victor Osimhen, who returns after an injury absence . Defender Semi Ajayi and forward Terem Moffi have also been recalled to the team .
The Super Eagles currently occupy third position in Group C with 11 points, trailing both the Benin Republic and South Africa by three points . The team is scheduled to confront Lesotho on October 10 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane . They will subsequently host the Benin Republic in Uyo on October 14 for their final group fixture .
