Nigerian singer and hypeman Slimcase praised fellow artist Wizkid’s extravagant lifestyle during a recent interview shared on X on Thursday. He described Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, as enjoying luxury more than anyone else in the industry. Slimcase noted that Wizkid keeps his indulgences private, away from the spotlight.
“If I can get just 10 per cent of Wizkid’s enjoyment, I am set for life,” Slimcase said. “Wizkid’s lifestyle is the most extravagant in the Nigerian music industry—no one even comes close. He enjoys luxury quietly, without flaunting it on camera.”
Slimcase, born Oluwafemi Oladapo, rose from humble roots. He once earned ₦15,000 monthly in a factory job before breaking into fame.
He popularised the “Shaku Shaku” street dance and music craze. Slimcase has teamed up with stars like D’banj, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, and 2Baba.
His track “Gucci Snake” with Wizkid stands out as a key hit. Slimcase also draws inspiration from Don Jazzy as a content creator and influencer.
