The Federal Government, through the National Orientation Agency (NOA), has cautioned an Abuja-based car dealer known as Alamin Sarkinmota over his recent promotional video perceived as disrespectful to Nigerian civil servants.

In the video, Sarkinmota showcased a Mercedes Benz 2023 C300 with AI features and asked, “Can civil servants afford you?” The AI responded, “No! maybe in 2062.”

NOA’s Director-General, Lanre Issa-Onilu, condemned the message, stating:

“To speak in such condescending terms about Nigerian civil servants… is wrong. Civil servants work hard to provide the environment for businesses like yours to thrive.”

The agency urged Sarkinmota to “mind his choice of words” and respect all Nigerians, emphasising that dignity of labour should be valued over material possessions.
