Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that political party divisions will no longer matter in Akwa Ibom State ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying all parties have aligned behind key political figures including himself, Governor Umo Eno, and President Bola Tinubu.
Akpabio made the statement on Friday during a midterm empowerment event held at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium, where he distributed items and cash grants, including minibuses, tricycles, cassava machines, generators, and food items, to 1,690 beneficiaries from his Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.
He praised Governor Eno as a unifying and God-fearing leader and commended his wife, Unoma Akpabio, for her continuous grassroots outreach, describing hunger as “non-partisan.”
Akpabio also announced plans to commission 68 constituency projects over two days, reaffirming his commitment to development and service delivery.
