Senate President Godswill Akpabio has been ordered to pay ₦100,000 after the Court of Appeal in Abuja dismissed two motions he filed in an ongoing legal tussle involving Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The motions, tied to a case at the Federal High Court, were dropped at Akpabio’s request. However, the court still imposed a cost, siding with Akpoti-Uduaghan who opposed the appeal.
The ruling, delivered on May 21, 2025, ends Akpabio’s attempt to challenge an earlier judgment, with the court also removing the appeal from its records.
