Atiku Abubakar’s media team has rejected claims that the former vice president is preparing for another shot at the presidency in 2027.
The rumours were triggered by a short video circulating online in which Atiku hinted at making a “formal announcement” about his political plans.
His spokesperson, Paul Ibe, clarified on Friday that the footage was not recent, explaining it was filmed in 2022 during consultations ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party primaries for the 2023 elections.
He described the renewed speculation as a deliberate attempt to twist old content, urging Nigerians to dismiss the claims.
