Bishop Oyedepo Shares Vision to Build 1,000 Churches Before Death

Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has shared a long-held spiritual commitment to build 1,000 churches before the end of his life.

Addressing his congregation in a recent sermon, the respected cleric reflected on a personal vow he made to God early in his ministry. According to him, the desire to support church-building efforts began before he even opened his first bank account.

“I told Jesus I don’t want to leave this world without building a thousand churches in His name,” Oyedepo said, framing the promise as a reflection of his dedication to the Christian mission.

He also encouraged members to examine their own willingness to contribute to the growth of the church, urging them not to let resources sit idle when they could be used for service.

Without mincing words, Oyedepo challenged believers to reflect the values they hear in church through action, describing everyone as a reflection of the spiritual environment they commit to.
