Brazil’s Vice President, Geraldo Alckmin, arrived in Abuja on Tuesday to participate in the second session of the Nigeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism, a high-level summit aimed at deepening cooperation between both countries.
Received by top Nigerian officials including Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole; Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia; Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha; and Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.
The visit is expected to deliver over 30 new agreements across key sectors, including agriculture, defence, energy, and culture.
Officials say the partnership aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and reflects a growing commitment to South-South collaboration.
“This dialogue mechanism represents our commitment to leveraging South-South partnerships that deliver tangible benefits to our citizens.
“Brazil’s expertise in agribusiness, energy transition, and industrial development aligns perfectly with Nigeria’s transformation priorities and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu,” Hadeija said.
