Court Remands Three Individuals Over Ibadan School Stampede.

An Iyaganku Magistrate Court in Ibadan has ordered the remand of three individuals following the recent fatal stampede at Bashorun Islamic High School.

The suspects, including the school principal Abdullahi Fasasi, Agidigbo FM proprietor Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, and Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, were charged with offences under Section 324 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi directed their detention at Agodi Correctional Centre, pending further legal advice from the state prosecutor.

The case has drawn significant public attention, with proceedings held under tight security.
