Officers of the Nigeria Customs Service have uncovered two containers loaded with vehicles used to hide drugs worth over ₦5.3 billion at Tin Can Island Port, Lagos.
Comptroller Frank Onyeka said one container arrived from Canada with vehicles stuffed with Colorado Indica and Hashish Oil, while the second held cannabis and crystal meth hidden the same way.
The seized drugs have been handed over to the NDLEA for investigation.
Onyeka warned importers against using legitimate trade to disguise crime, stressing that Customs will stay alert to keep Nigeria’s ports drug-free.
