Davido, has made a significant contribution to the International University of East Africa in Uganda by launching a new faculty of music and arts. The unveiling ceremony took place on March 28, 2024, and was documented on the singer’s official Instagram account.
Davido was also honoured by having a hall named after him in the university. The new faculty of music and arts is expected to provide students with a world-class education in music and artistic fields. The launch of this faculty is a significant step towards promoting the growth of the entertainment industry in Uganda and Africa as a whole.
Davido, who is currently in Uganda, is set to perform at the Kololo Independence Grounds. The singer reacted to the university achievement in a post on his social media platform X formerly known as Twitter where he expressed his love for the announcement.
