Music producer Don Jazzy quietly donated a large sum of money to a young woman who runs a foundation for kidney patients. The woman, Itohan Supremos Baby, faced harsh criticism online after asking him for Christmas help on December 11, 2025. Don Jazzy stepped in to shield her from the attacks and questioned why people dragged her for stating her wishes.

Itohan tweeted that she wished Don Jazzy would ask what she needed for Christmas, promising not to be greedy. He replied, asking what she wanted, noting he liked her bio and her regular engagement with his posts. She explained her request: funds to clear personal debts and start the Mercy Foundation to cover dialysis costs for patients, inspired by her brother’s death from kidney disease.

Some users branded her greedy and a scam for the bold ask. One critic wrote that men encourage bad behaviour in women and that she did not deserve a response. Others defended her, pointing out that her wish focused on helping others, not just herself.

Don Jazzy sent the money privately to avoid raising her hopes publicly. The donation receipt showed “six zeros,” suggesting a substantial amount. He later posted on X to slam the critics. “What exactly did she do wrong? I like to help people when I can. I asked for her wish, and she stated she wants to help people, too,” he wrote.

He added that he moved the conversation to direct messages to spare her from timeline abuse. “She doesn’t owe anyone anything. Is she a government official?” Don Jazzy asked. He compared the backlash to one faced by a man who received N20 million from him in November for a tech project.

Itohan thanked him publicly, saying the dragging was worth it and God had answered her wish. She shared proof of spending N350,000 on dialysis for two patients. As online kindness often draws scrutiny, Don Jazzy’s defence highlights the challenges of quiet generosity in the public eye.
