EFCC Investigates ₦10m Extortion Claim by Rapper Oladips

The EFCC says it has opened an internal probe after rapper Oladips alleged that its operatives took ₦10 million from him during a 2024 detention.

Oladips said he was picked up during a midnight raid in Lagos and released days later after the payment, even though no evidence was found against him.

In a post on Saturday, the EFCC said it takes the claim seriously and has pulled the officers involved off duty while it investigates.

The agency added that any staff found guilty would face sanctions, but warned that if the allegation proves false, the artist could also face consequences.
