As part of his annual Eid al-Adha outreach, Nigerian actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has gifted a ram to a 12-year-old boy, Alameen Muhammad, who emerged as the top participant in his children’s Quran recitation challenge.
The competition, which Adebayo runs each year under the hashtag #FemiAdebayoIleyaGiveaway, is targeted at encouraging young Muslims to engage with their faith during the Sallah season. This year’s edition was open to children between the ages of 5 and 12.
Amid rising prices of rams and basic commodities, Adebayo’s gesture comes as a relief to families preparing for the celebration.
“You’ve won a ram for Ileya! Kindly send your preferred delivery address via DM so we can arrange prompt delivery,” Adebayo announced in a post on his verified social media handle.
In addition to the grand prize, the actor rewarded the second and third-place winners, identified as @hajakaffy and @abiolanurdeen, with cash gifts.
“Congratulations! Please send your account details to my DM to receive your cash reward,” he added.
Adebayo also extended appreciation to all participants, urging continued acts of kindness.
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s giveaway. Let’s continue to spread love. Eid Mubarak in advance! Wishing everyone a season filled with happiness and abundant blessings,” he wrote.
