FG Allocates ₦6.36bn for Renovation of Presidential Quarters in 2025 Budget

The Federal Government has proposed ₦6.36 billion for the renovation and rehabilitation of residential quarters for President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and their aides in the 2025 budget.

The breakdown includes ₦765 million for the Vice President’s quarters and guest house, ₦6.39 million for the President’s quarters, and ₦49 million for security quarters, an auditorium, and a gymnasium.

Renovation of Prescott Barracks and other facilities in Asokoro, Abuja, is budgeted at ₦51 million.

Additionally, ₦5.49 billion is allocated for annual maintenance of the Presidential Villa, while ₦3.66 billion is set aside for the procurement of State House operational vehicles. Another ₦1.09 billion is allocated for SUV replacements.

Under the Lagos Liaison Office budget, ₦140.1 million will complete renovations at the State House Annex, Dodan Barracks, and ₦14.72 million will maintain other facilities, including the Vice President’s guest house in Ikoyi.

The government also plans to spend ₦1.83 billion converting forfeited properties recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into State House quarters, including a 753-unit estate in Abuja recently seized by t he EFCC.
