Yobe State Governor Mai Mala and other 50 celebrities who earned degrees in the Benin Republic

Amid the ban of Certificates from Benin Republic, Togo and other countries, the educational background of the Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, Chiroman Gujba CON has been unveiled.

Governor Mai Mala Buni, who had his early education at Buni Gari Central Primary School and Government School, Goniri between 1973 and 1985.

Over the course of the next several years, Governor Buni received part-time Islamic education. In 2010, he enrolled into Espam Formation University, Benin Republic and bagged a BSc degree in International Relations in 2014.

In addition to his academic qualifications, the Governor holds a Masters of Arts in International Relations from Lead Beckett University, Headingley, Leeds, United Kingdom.

Before he became governor of Yobe State in May 2019, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has had a stellar political career both at the state and national levels.

Governor Buni has pushed the pendulum further with a renewed sense of urgency to develop the state, most especially towards the Educational Sector.

His administration has also provided direct employment into the civil service to thousands of people across the state.

So far, a total of 4000 teachers were recruited in the education sector; 1,200 personnel in the healthcare sector; and 2,670 degree, HND, ND and NCE certificate holders recruited from the 178 electoral wards of the state, amongst others.
