Lagos Partners EU-Africa Chamber for Green Growth at COP29.

The Lagos State Government has collaborated with the EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce (EUACC) to ameliorate climate financing, technology transfer, and green economic growth.

The partnership was formalised during COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

According to a statement on Monday, the initiative aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision of making Lagos a sustainable and resilient mega city.

Special Adviser on Climate Change and Circular Economy, Titilayo Oshodi, described the partnership as vital for driving innovation and attracting green investments.

Key goals include unlocking climate finance, advancing Article 6-compliant projects, and funding clean technology.

EUACC and Carbonivity leaders, Nele Lahrmann-Muniru and Dr Adebola Odunusi, applauded Lagos’ effort as a blueprint for sustainable growth in Africa.
