LAUTECH Suspends Activities After Student’s Death

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Iseyin campus, has suspended academic activities for two weeks after a 200-level Agricultural Economics student was killed by a hit-and-run driver on the Iseyin/Saki Road, Oyo State.

Following the tragic incident, angry students reportedly set the fleeing driver’s vehicle ablaze.

Confirming the development, the school registrar, Olayinka Balogun, said the break is to allow students and staff recover from the emotional shock. Academic activities are expected to resume on November 24, 2025.
