A Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu has recommended the prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe over the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Magistrate C.A. Shotobi, who delivered the findings on Friday, ruled out foul play but held that the nurse acted with gross professional negligence. Ogedengbe, who admitted to administering a tetanus injection without a doctor’s prescription, was deemed to have unlawfully operated outside her scope of practice.
The court urged the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions to take legal action against her for unauthorised medical treatment.
Additionally, the court called for a thorough investigation into a prior police petition by Mohbad, which detailed alleged threats and assaults by Naira Marley and Sam Larry, names that resurfaced during the inquest.
The magistrate also criticised the late singer’s family for not demanding an autopsy before his burial and expressed concern over misleading narratives shared online by content creators.
