Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey is set to host a special “Kirikiri Edition” of his Hallelujah Challenge on August 27, 2025, at Lagos’ Kirikiri Medium Security Prison.

Bassey described the prison worship session as his personal birthday wish, aimed at bringing “hope and freedom” to inmates through music and prayer. The programme will include praise and worship, shared meals, and scholarships for selected prisoners.

He explained that the event may not be streamed live for security reasons but urged supporters to join in prayer, believing it would lead to “liberty of the spirit and a harvest of souls.”

The regular Hallelujah Challenge is expected to resume in October.
