Flight Lieutenant Kafayat Sanni, Nigeria’s first female combat pilot, has earned top recognition at a major military training program in Ghana.

She was named Best Allied Student and also won an award for academic excellence during the graduation ceremony at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Accra.

Sanni, who first made headlines in 2019 for breaking barriers in the Nigerian Air Force, continues to stand out for her leadership and performance.

Her latest achievement highlights not only her dedication but also Nigeria’s growing influence in regional military training and its support for women in defence roles.
