Police Declare Portable Wanted Over Alleged Attack, Singer Claims Mental Health Treatment

The Ogun State Police Command has declared singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, wanted for allegedly leading a violent attack on government officials.

Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola stated that on February 5, 2025, town planning officials were enforcing regulations at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, when they encountered Portable’s father at Odogwu Bar. While requesting the building’s approved plan, the officials were allegedly ambushed by Portable and nine armed men.

The victims sustained injuries but escaped to report the attack.

Nine suspects were arrested, but Portable fled. After ignoring multiple police invitations, authorities obtained a court order declaring him wanted. “Anyone aiding him will face legal consequences,” Odutola warned.

Meanwhile, Portable responded via social media, claiming he was targeted for wearing a vest featuring Senator Adeola Solomon. He also insisted he is undergoing psychiatric treatment. “I fear the government. I take my medications at Aro Hospital. I have a card as proof,” he said.

Despite his claims, the police maintain their search for his arrest.
