The Presidency has said reports claiming President Bola Tinubu changed his Chief of Staff are not true.
Social media posts had alleged that Femi Gbajabiamila was replaced by the President’s Principal Private Secretary, Hakeem Muri-Okunola. The Presidency dismissed the claim as false.
Reacting, the President’s media adviser, Bayo Onanuga, urged Nigerians to ignore the rumour.
“There is absolutely no truth to this story,” he said.
He confirmed that both officials remain in their current positions and warned that the report was fake news aimed at causing confusion.
The Presidency also reminded the public and the media to verify information before sharing it.
