Presidency Postpones Ministerial Screening to Wednesday for Completion of Pre-Screening Formalities.

The Nigerian Presidency has postponed the Senate screening of seven recently nominated ministers to Wednesday.

The postponement was made to allow all nominees to complete their documentation and pre-screening exercises.

Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the screening has now been moved to Wednesday at noon.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Basheer Lado, the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Senate Matters, on Tuesday.

Last week, President Bola Tinubu made substantial changes to his cabinet, dismissing five ministers, reassigning 10 to new portfolios, and nominating seven new ministers for Senate confirmation.

The nominees are expected to face the Senate’s screening, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, on Wednesday.
