President Tinubu Advocates for Ceasefire in Gaza at Riyadh Summit.

President Bola Tinubu, during a one-day extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, called for an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, condemning the prolonged suffering of Palestinian civilians.

Speaking to leaders from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the League of Arab States, he emphasised the need for an immediate ceasefire and renewed commitment to a two-state solution to allow Israelis and Palestinians to coexist peacefully.

Highlighting Nigeria’s stance, Tinubu stated, “The conflict in Palestine has persisted for far too long, inflicting immeasurable suffering…

As representatives of nations that value justice, dignity, and the sanctity of human life, we have a moral obligation to bring about an immediate end to this conflict.”

The President’s flight back to Nigeria is scheduled to depart Riyadh at 3:40 PM local time on Tuesday.
