Rema, has gone back to his Edo roots with the recent video circulating on social media.
The star recently performed at the BRIT’s awards and is seen in a video greeting the Prince of Benin. The crown prince whose real name is HRH Prince Ezelekhae Ewuare recently celebrated his birthday. In attendance were Edo indigenes and it is speculated that the video was taken at the event which happened on March 8, 2024.
Moreover, Rema has always been someone who stood for the Edo culture. At a concert last year, he received a lot of backlash for his set design that seemed too graphic. The artist defended himself saying that he only tried to show his Edo culture as he had always been doing.
Fans await Rema’s release with Shallipopi as well as his upcoming performance at the Dreamville Festival alongside Amaarae.
