Sanwo-Olu Pledges More Support for Women Entrepreneurs

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured women in the state of more government support to grow their businesses and contribute to economic development.

Speaking at the 2025 WAPA Connect conference, the governor, represented by his deputy Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, said his administration is committed to breaking barriers that limit women and giving them greater access to finance.

“Our mission is to improve women’s lives and support them with the resources needed to build their businesses,” he said.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Bolaji Dada, added that empowering women strengthens families and expands the state’s economy.

“When women rise, Lagos grows,” she noted.
