Sanwo-Olu Reacts to Balogun Fire Outbreak

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed concern over the fire that damaged the Great Nigeria House in the Balogun area of Lagos Island.

The governor said he was saddened by the incident and sympathised with victims of the fire.

“My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu, who visited the scene, said the scale of the damage was severe and could not be fully captured in reports.

“No written report can truly reflect the pain or the full extent of this loss,” he added.

He also praised firefighters and emergency officials for their efforts in bringing the fire under control and preventing further damage.

The Lagos State Government assured affected persons that support would be provided as assessments continue.
