Starlink Increases Monthly Subscription Fees.

Satellite internet provider, Starlink, recently announced an increase in its monthly subscription rates, citing inflatory pressures.

This was disclosed in a message sent across to its customers on Tuesday, the company stated that both existing and new customers with be affected by the increase.

It said that the standard residential package will now cost ₦75,000, while the price for the mobile regional (roam unlimited) package is set at ₦167,000. The mobile global (global roam) package will now go for ₦717,000.Accroding to the message, the revised rates will take effect immediately for new customers, whereas existing customers will begin paying the new fees from October 31, 2024.

Starlink attributed the increase to excess levels of inflation, which has impacted the cost of providing services.

The company further stated that users who wish to discontinue the service can cancel without any penalties.
