Nigeria’s Super Eagles have booked a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after a confident 2–0 victory over Algeria in Marrakech.
Nigeria took control early, keeping the ball, pressing high, and limiting Algeria’s chances. The breakthrough came after the break when Victor Osimhen rose to head home the opening goal. The pressure continued, and Akor Adams doubled the lead, finishing off a move created by Osimhen.
With the midfield firmly under control and the defence well organised, Algeria struggled to find a way back despite late changes. Nigeria comfortably saw out the game to seal the win.
The Super Eagles will now face hosts Morocco in the semi-finals as they continue their strong run in the tournament.

This was easy to follow, even for someone new like me.
It’s great to see someone explain this so clearly.
