Tinubu to New Service Chiefs: “Smash New Snakes Before They Grow”

President Bola Tinubu has charged Nigeria’s newly appointed service chiefs to act fast against emerging security threats, warning that new criminal groups must be crushed before they spread.

At the State House, Abuja, where the officers were decorated, Tinubu said their appointment signals a new phase in the fight for peace and safety.

“Let’s smash the new snakes right in the head. Nigerians expect results, not excuses,” he said.

He urged the military to embrace innovation and technology while assuring them of his full support.

The new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Waheedi Shaibu, promised immediate action, calling the current insecurity “unacceptable.”“

We live in tough times, but we are tougher. The Army will not disappoint the nation,” he vowed.

The newly confirmed officers pledged to strengthen teamwork, protect citizens, and restore stability across the country.
