The West African Examinations Council has dismissed claims that the 2025 WASSCE English Language paper was cancelled, labelling the rumour as false and misleading.
In a statement on Tuesday, the exam body said it had not issued any announcement regarding the cancellation of the May 28 paper, contrary to a viral release making rounds on social media.
WAEC described the hoax as the handiwork of mischief-makers and advised students, parents, and schools to rely only on verified updates from the council.
“All official communications are published through WAEC’s authorised platforms,” the council clarified, urging the public to disregard the fake document and remain focused as the examination progresses.
