Wike: Nigerians Should Value Tinubu’s Tolerance of Criticism

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, says Nigerians are fortunate to have President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as tolerant of harsh criticism.

Speaking in Abuja at the flag-off of a road project, Wike noted that Nigerians often insult the president online without fear of consequences.

“This is a country where somebody on social media will say Mr President is a criminal; nothing will happen. You are lucky you have a President who believes in the rule of law,” he said.

The minister also dismissed rumours that he had suffered a heart attack, describing them as false.

On the strike by resident doctors, Wike explained that ₦25 billion had been set aside for health projects in the 2025 budget, assuring that allowances and recruitment issues would be addressed through proper channels.

“Nobody will blackmail me or stop me from doing what is right at the right time,” he added.
