President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which will take place on Wednesday.
His arrival comes ahead of a series of official engagements, including the regional summit where Tinubu, who currently chairs ECOWAS, will address achievements and challenges faced by the bloc over the last five decades.
During his visit, the president is also scheduled to commission several federal projects across Lagos. Among them are the first phase of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the new concrete road to the Lekki Deep Sea Port. He will also preside over the flag-off of Section II of the highway and inaugurate the 7th Axial Road.
Tinubu is expected to observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House in Dodan Barracks before returning to Abuja.
