Nigerians looking to travel to the United Arab Emirates, especially Dubai, now face tighter entry rules as UAE immigration authorities have rolled out new visa restrictions.
According to travel sources, tourist visa access has been significantly limited for solo Nigerian applicants aged between 18 and 45. Only those in this age group traveling with company may now qualify.
In addition, applicants aged 45 and above must prove financial eligibility by submitting a six-month personal bank statement showing a steady balance of at least $10,000 per month.
The UAE has also reportedly discontinued all transit visa applications for Nigerian citizens.
These new requirements are expected to shrink travel numbers from Nigeria to the Gulf nation, long considered a go-to destination for business and leisure.
Travel agents advise Nigerians to carefully review the updated visa guidelines before applying, as incomplete or non-compliant submissions will no longer be entertained.
