Naira Records Mild Loss, Closes at ₦1,533.74 to Dollar

The Naira closed Friday’s trading at N1,533.74 per U.S. dollar, dropping by 19 kobo compared to Thursday’s rate of N1,533.55, according to figures from the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The currency also showed mild fluctuations during the week. It opened on Monday with a slight gain at N1,534.20, then depreciated to N1,534.52 on Wednesday before recovering marginally on Thursday.

Analysts say the movement reflects continued pressure on the foreign exchange market despite recent interventions aimed at stabilising the Naira.
