Street-pop artist, Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has been granted bail by an Upper Area Court in Ilorin following multiple charges bordering on criminal defamation, cyberstalking, and incitement.

The court set bail at ₦1 million with two sureties, one a PMAN official and the other a property owner in Ilorin’s GRA. The 31-year-old singer remains in custody as he is yet to meet the conditions.

The charges stem from a petition by veteran Fuji musician Saheed Osupa, who accused Portable of making damaging comments during an Instagram live session in March. In the viral video, Portable criticised Osupa over a reported copyright claim that led to the removal of his song Fuji Shakushaku from streaming platforms.

Police confirmed that Portable was arrested in Abeokuta on April 13 and transferred to Ilorin. His case is backed by sections of the Penal Code, the Cybercrime Act, and the Violence Against Persons Law.
