Police Inspector Accused of Assaulting 8-Year-Old Orphan in Abuja

A shocking and deeply disturbing incident has come to light in Abuja, where a Nigerian Police Inspector has been accused of sexually assaulting a vulnerable 8-year-old girl. The officer, identified as Inspector Bassey, allegedly committed this terrible act on Thursday evening in the Mabuchi area of the city.

The young victim, named Zahra, is an orphan who tragically lost both of her parents. She was playing outside her home around 5 PM when the incident is said to have happened. According to reports, Inspector Bassey lured the innocent child into his car and then proceeded to assault her.

After the horrifying event, the matter was immediately reported to the police. Zahra was taken to a hospital for a medical examination, which sadly confirmed that she had been assaulted. The little girl is currently under the care of a kind doctor who has taken on the responsibility of raising and educating her after the loss of her parents.
