Street-hop singer Habeeb Okikilola Badmus, widely known as Portable, is currently in police custody following his arrest by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command over allegations filed by fuji veteran, Saheed Osupa.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the petition accuses Portable of a series of offences, including defamation, threats to life, incitement, and actions capable of disrupting public peace.
Acting on a court-approved warrant, officers arrested the singer in Abeokuta, Ogun State, at about 7:25 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. He was subsequently transported to Ilorin for further questioning.
Ejire-Adeyemi confirmed that the singer’s statement was obtained in the presence of legal representatives, and the case is expected to proceed to court in the coming days.
