Tacha Bags Two Guinness Records for Quick Makeovers

A former reality TV star has earned spots in the Guinness World Records book for completing the most beauty touch-ups in short bursts of time. Anita Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, pulled off 82 cosmetic changes in eight hours and 144 in a full day.

The feats happened last month at her three-day beauty event in Lagos, from 10 to 12 October, where 150 women took part as models. The 29-year-old shared her joy online, thanking her crew and supporters for sticking by her through tough spots like no sleep, sore feet, and wobbly hands. She called it a win from hard work, grit, and a bit of luck that kept her going.

Tacha said the drive came from her lifelong love of colours and looks, starting as a child. She wanted to prove women in Nigeria can chase big dreams, that fresh ideas matter, and that ladies from Africa should shine on the world stage.

In another post, she urged those with goals to keep pushing, even if critics try to knock them down. She noted that pushback from doubters can actually fuel success, and tied it to her own name meaning kind favour, which she feels guides her path strongly. Tacha ended by promising that the same force behind her win will answer quiet hopes for others, twice over.
