President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Brazil to attend a major international meeting with leaders from some of the world’s biggest developing countries.

The event is part of the BRICS Summit, which brings together countries like Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. This year’s summit focuses on helping Global South countries, like Nigeria, work together to solve common challenges such as poverty, climate change, and technology development.

President Tinubu, who was officially invited by Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will speak about Nigeria’s economic reforms and plans to attract more foreign investment. His goal is to draw more interest to Nigeria’s potential in agriculture, minerals, health, and clean energy.

He’s also expected to meet with international investors and fellow world leaders to strengthen Nigeria’s ties with other countries.

The summit will run through July 6 and 7, and will feature key discussions on topics like healthcare, artificial intelligence, climate issues, and better global cooperation.

Several Nigerian state governors, including those from Lagos, Ogun, Benue, Delta, and Niger, are also part of the delegation.

This visit is seen as a move to open up more opportunities for Nigeria in the global economy.
