Tinubu’s Education Loan Plan Offers Freedom from Poverty, Says Oyo Lawmaker

A lawmaker from Oyo State has praised the president’s initiative to provide loans for students as a vital route out of hardship for countless young people eager for solid learning and brighter prospects ahead.

Remi Oseni, who holds a seat in the lower chamber of parliament for the Ido/Ibarapa East district, shared these thoughts at a lively event on Saturday backing the president’s fresh vision for change and his bid to stay in office through 2027. The gathering took place in Apata, within the Ido council area, and pulled in crowds of craftspeople, shop owners, young campaigners, and key figures from politics across the region.

The occasion also celebrated a full year of community outreach by ROCOF, a group started by Oseni to push for fairness, growth, and aid for labourers and merchants in the state.

Oseni reflected on his own journey, noting how no-cost schooling shaped his life. He called the loan system a bold step forward, opening doors for any teenager keen on studies but held back by tight budgets. “I owe my success to no-fee learning in my early days,” he remarked. “That’s why this loan effort touches me so much. It’s among the smartest moves of the current team, a clear way out for youngsters who crave knowledge yet face money woes.”

The representative highlighted how the programme could close the divide between wealthy and struggling families, letting children from modest homes chase university dreams without the drag of financial strain.

“It’s all about gaining wisdom,” he added. “Mastering letters and words sets you free from the chains of not knowing. This loan setup delivers that shot for any eager young Nigerian to step forward and contribute fully to society.”

Oseni tipped his hat to the president for placing people skills at the forefront amid tough money times, viewing the effort as a lasting gift that will mould the country’s tomorrow.

“This goes beyond school rules; it’s a full overhaul for society,” he said. “It ensures no child misses out on lessons due to empty pockets. For that, we owe the leader our thanks and steady backing.”

The politician stressed that ROCOF’s drive faces no real threats. “No bullying or pressure, open or hidden, will halt this wave,” he declared. “We stand as a shared promise for better days, a frontline for advancement, and a power rooted in the fresh hope drive.”

He made clear that ROCOF’s work blends politics with real gains, zeroing in on uplifting craftspeople, sellers, women, and the young throughout the state.

“We seek to free our communities not via force or spin, but by building strength, spreading knowledge, and creating work chances,” Oseni explained. “It’s not merely about claiming seats; it’s about reshaping everyday lives.”

Oseni quashed talk of eyeing the state top job, insisting his focus stays on the president’s success and bringing the ruling party back to power in Oyo by 2027.

“This isn’t a bid for my own rise,” he clarified. “I haven’t breathed a word of aiming for governor. Folks guess it from our efforts, but right now, I aim to secure a million backers for the president next time and reclaim the party house in Agodi.”
