Dangote Group Pledges Medical Care, Compensation for Phyna’s Sister Injured in Truck Accident

Dangote Group Plc has committed to covering medical expenses and providing compensation for Mrs. Ruth Otabor, sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma “Phyna” Otabor, after she was injured in an accident involving one of its trucks in Auchi, Edo State.

The crash, which happened last week, left Mrs. Otabor hospitalised at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital.

According to witnesses, the incident caused traffic delays before emergency responders and security officials cleared the scene.

In a statement on Thursday, Dangote Group confirmed that its senior management and insurance representatives visited both the accident site and the hospital.

The company said this was part of its policy to support victims of such incidents, assuring Mrs. Otabor of comprehensive medical care and financial compensation.

The statement added that Dangote is cooperating with authorities to investigate the cause of the crash and reaffirmed its commitment to road safety and the welfare of those affected by its operations.
